Four Birthdays and a Vocabulary Lesson – Sept. 11, 2022

Vic Meyers

Do you know who this fellow is?  He’s Victor Aloysius Meyers, shown here at the height of his political career, about 30 years past the height of his musical career.  You’ll hear all about both and three of his recordings in the first segment of this week’s edition of Rapidly Rotating Records. We’ll also be celebrating the birthdays of Doc Cook, Eric Coates and Harry Geise. And as an educational public service, we’ll have a vocabulary lesson.  There’s lots of great music and interesting information, so set aside an hour with your favorite beverage and be magically transported back to a different–and we think better–musical era. Just click the  link in the audio player above to listen streaming online and/or download the show for listening at your convenience.
