Welcome to "Rapidly Rotating Records," Glenn Robison's weekly, one hour radio program of "toe-tapping music from rapidly rotating 78RPM records of the 1920s and 30s", broadcast Sunday evenings at 6:00 PM over KISL FM 88.7 Avalon.
This week's show is going to be a "joy!" We'll also celebrate the birthday of Ivan Caryll, spend some time down on the farm and take some guesses.
Just as a reminder, the upcoming Catalina Island Chili Cookoff takes place on Saturday, May 21, 2016 from 11-6 at South Beach, Avalon. And on that same day at 1 PM is the Catalina Island Museum's Silent Film Benefit. It's a double feature with "One Week" (1920) starring Buster Keaton and "The Kid Brother" (1927) starring Harold Lloyd. Tickets for the Silent Film Benefit can be purchased online at catalinamuseum.org.
